This is the most insightful thing I read recently.

This was absolutely amazing and really hit on multiple areas of inflection worth really mulling over.

The kids idea is a great point - and have recently experienced it with a <1 year old! I had heard others say you get more productive after kids but it goes against the "entitled millennial" mindset :)

Great essay, nat. as always

I'm a physician and, in the mid, if my career, have two kids. I often feel the same and recently realized that one or two years with kids wouldn't probably affect my career.

Your essay is so true

Good job

Having read four thousand weeks a couple of weeks ago, I really enjoyed how concisely you summed up similar sentiments that the book inspired in me, more eloquently than I could have put it myself. I'd begun to get lost in my work and given up too much balance in other areas, thinking if I just kept pushing 12 hour days that I'd be able to relax later at some point, but that later won't magically appear, I have to make it now and accept slower progress and less impact as the cost but one that is worth paying. Thanks for another great perspective on dealing with time anxiety :)

It's great being able to say Hi :) I didn't know I could comment... bcs I actually signed up to this mailing list about 5 yrs ago or so ... (when I read your multiorgasmic man kind of article) and the titles from your emails were always interesting, but I never took the time to read them. Btw, I wanted to highlight a few sentences from the text, but I can't figure out how to turn it into pdf... I tried in my mac on "file", but it only takes one section of the mail... any tips for this? there's a lot of alpha in this one, at least
